Buxus ‘Vardar Valley’(sempervirens) Vardar Valley Common Boxwood Zone 4–9. There are 2 forms of this cultivar—the most common is dwarf, growing 3', while the other grows 7' in height, broad-spreading habit; retains its dark green color throughout the winter; spring growth has a bluish tint; we grow the dwarf form and don't think it can be a profitable production plant due to its extremely slow growth; have had some in the field for 6 years and are basketball size—slower than B. s. ‘Suffruiticosa’. |
