Cercis canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’Forest Pansy Eastern Redbud Zone 4–9. This increasingly popular cultivar of C. canadensis is outstanding for its incredible red-purple new foliage that quiets down after the flush but still remains strikingly different from the other green-leaved redbuds; flowers are more rose-purple than the species; we find Forest Pansy to be difficult to train up to tree form but once accomplished, it develops nicely similar to the species. |
