Spraying
April 16, 2003. A high-clearance tractor used to spray pre-emerge. Looks like we got a little behind schedule here. No problem, see next photo.
Here the high clearance tractor is equipped with two CDA Rowdomes (Controlled Droplet Application) and a crew with hand guns to apply glyphosate as a post-emergent control. The crew and machine can work through about 20–25 acres per day.
The CIMA atomizer, a European technology, delivers fog size particles via a 170 mile per hour air stream.
The CIMA atomizer technology results in reduced pesticide use and lower volumes of water as the carrier. The result is a 400 gallon tank will do the same work as an 800–1200 gallon tank using traditional air blast systems.
