After a search of five years, the site for Waverly Farm was selected, solely on soil quality. Based on its historical productivity records in general agriculture, it was determined that it has soils of the highest quality found anywhere in the United States.

Final preparation of soil for planting

Damcon transplanter, manufactured in Holland used to plant bare-root trees. We also modify the unit as needed to plant container or bare root shrubs from a two-year bare root arborvitae up to seven gallon containers.

The Damcon transplanter’s unique hydraulic stake driver inserts the bamboo stake “on the run” during planting.
